The 1866 Brandy Solera Gran Reserva is aged for 12 years in oak barrels.
Only grapes from the old Spanish grape variety Airén from the La Mancha region are used for the delicate 1866 Brandy, which is characterized by its exceptional resistance to drought and produces highly aromatic grapes even after long dry periods. After pressing the grapes, the must is then double distilled using traditional copper stills and the distillate is stored over a period of 12 years using the Solera method in barrels previously filled with Malaga wine. The result is an extremely harmonious and full-bodied brandy that is appreciated by brandy connoisseurs and connoisseurs worldwide. The elegant brandy is part of the range of the Spanish Osborne Group, which can look back on almost 250 years of success and is one of the oldest and most renowned spirits and wine producers in Spain. The family business, which is now managed by the eighth generation and has its headquarters in El Puerto de Santa María in Andalusia, Spain, took over Bodegas Larios in the Malaga region in 2009, where the roots of the 1866 Solera Gran Reserva Brandy lie. Bodegas Larios developed from the renowned Bodegas Jiménez y Lamothe, which composed the fine brandy at the end of the 19th century and was one of the largest distilleries in Spain at the time. The noble brandy has enjoyed great popularity for more than 100 years and is counted among the best brandies that Spain has to offer.
