Luxardo Limoncello is a lemon liqueur that has been produced since 1905 according to a family recipe.
The company Luxardo, which today resides in Torreglia in Veneto, was founded in 1821 by Girolamo Luxardo in Zadar and is one of the most renowned Italian producers of liqueurs.
The liqueur is made from lemon peel, lemon juice and pulp. The ingredients are preserved in alcohol and the whole marries to a fruity-sour lemon liqueur.
Tasting notes:
Color: Lemon yellow.
Nose: Intense, notes of lemons.
Taste: Harmonious, fresh, acidic, notes of lemons.
Finish: Long lasting.
Either neat (ice cold) or with Prosecco.
In Campania it is indispensable to finish a meal.
