Description

Laphroaig is a whisky distillery on the Scottish Hebridean island of Islay and is owned by the Japanese-American Beam Suntory group. The buildings of the distillery are classified in the Scottish heritage lists. In the production of Laphroaig, barley malt is dried over a peat fire. The smoke from this peat, found only on Islay, gives Laphroaig its particularly rich flavor.

This Laphroaig is supplied without age statement.

The Select has its name from a special selection of American and European barrels.

Tasting notes:

Colour: gold.
Nose: Peat, toasted bread, salt, notes of malt, rust and rice pudding.
Taste: Creamy, soft, sweet, oily, peat smoke, leather, tobacco.
Finish: Long lasting, bread, vanilla, wood, tobacco, peat smoke.
